Red Flower in Hawai'i

I was on a geology field trip in November of 2007 to the lovely island of Hawai'i. The trip was for the purpose of studying volcanoes and volcanic features, but we did have a day for sight-seeing. I normally take lots of flower photographs, but on this trip, I only took one, and you're looking at it. I don't know what kind of flower it is, but it was taken at Akaka State Park. I used a very shallow depth of field, and I think that it works very well for this shot.
