Telescopes Witness Sunset

From their perch atop Kitt Peak National Observatory, these telescopes witness another sunset on July 16, 2004. This is the same as above, just taken at a different time during the sunset. The large telescope in the middle of the field is the Mayal 4-meter telescope, which is the largest on the mountain. It was built in the 1970s.
