Butterfly

I went hiking in el Dorado Canyon near Boulder, CO, on July 1, 2006, with some friends, and one of the requirements I had set for my going was that I bring my camera. I took about 50 pictures, kept around half, and I got lucky half-way through when I was able to capture several shots of a butterfly perched on a thistle. I put two of the best here. It was almost as if the butterfly was posing for me since I was (a) talking to it as if it were an underwear model, and (b) as soon as I decided I was done and turned away, the butterfly flew off.
